If you are looking for someone who knows the Galena area, look no farther!"

I began a new career as a licensed Realtor® with Old Northwest Land Company in 1994 and have loved every minute of it since. A desire to help people achieve their goals was a major part of that decision. I believe in creating win/win situations, without compromising anyone’s integrity. The “team” environment at Old Northwest Land Co, is very satisfying; Together Everyone Achieves More!

I am a member of the National Association of Realtors®; the Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin Association of Realtors® (state); Realtor® Association of Northwestern Illinois, Dubuque and South Central Wisconsin Associations of Realtors®(local) and have been recognized since 1996, as a top producer in sales. Current professional accomplishments include an active status as an Accredited Buyers Representative(ABR), Business Broker, ePro designation and Graduate Realtor Institute Grad. I am currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Realtor® Association of Northwestern Illinois, past member on the MLS committee for the Realtors® Association of Southwest Wisconsin, Committee member for Dubuque MLS and “
Realtor® of the Year” in 2007 for the Realtor® Association of Northwestern Illinois.

Continuing education is always a priority. I have attended GRI and GRI Grad since the beginning of my career and attend state and national conventions at every available opportunity. I believe that knowledge is the best prevention of future problems.

I have a diverse employment history that began in the mid 1970’s and included a variety of jobs—all preparing me for my present career: Duane’s villa de coiffure and Helen’s Beauty Salon, both salons formerly located on Main Street, Galena, relief driver and co-owner of bulk milk hauling business in Northwest Illinois and Southwest Wisconsin.

I grew up on a dairy farm near Galena, was a member of 4-H and learned how to cook, sew, bake bread & cookies and show dairy at the county fairs. I still enjoy sharing my yeast breads with family and friends. I married my high school sweetheart, Ron, in 1974 and we are the proud parents of Kara Deininger Colin.

Ron and I purchased Old Northwest Land Co, inc. in 2004 and still own and operate a bulk milk hauling business - R&L Deininger Trucking, INC. in Scales Mound, IL.  We are very excited about the continued success we have been a part of with the support from the “Team” at Old Northwest, as well as our family, friends, acquaintances and business associates in the surrounding area.

The business philosophy has remained unchanged—
putting the needs of the client first! There is always a burst of energy in the management level to insure continuity in the high level of service folks have come to expect from Old Northwest Land Co, inc. Our office emphasis is and continues to focus on technology, to help our clients succeed quickly and painlessly. So expect a high level of response with every transaction.

In my “spare” time, I thoroughly enjoy riding the Harley with my hubby. We often take scenic tours through the rolling hills of Jo Daviess & Carroll counties, Eastern Iowa, Gays Mills, Sauk City or even Northern Wisconsin. I also  discovered the fun of 4-wheeling with friends & family a few years ago. It is always been very relaxing to listen to  the tranquility of Apple Canyon Lake, the solitude of the Galena River by a bonfire or simply relaxing on the back porch.

Family is very important to me and get-togethers often happen at a moments notice. I am the youngest of nine—six brothers and two sisters, spread from Connecticut to Wisconsin, Illinois to Arizona. Then there are the nieces, nephews and the great-nieces and nephews in Washington, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Minnesota, New York & California. The little ones always get extra special attention
